This red-flowered evergreen shrub is a wonderful garden addition to a sunny spot in the border or as an accent plant, and is hardy to Zone 7. Growing up to 10 feet, it responds well to heavy pruning. The leaves emerge as darker burgundy and green, and it blooms profusely in the spring and then sporadically.
