Cymbidium orchids are typically easy to grow and produce an abundance of flowers on each spike. They perform best with indirect filtered sunlight, which produces yellowish/green foliage instead of deep green. They should be kept moist and fertilized with a high nitrogen fertilizer from July through November and a lower nitrogen fertilizer December through June. Slow release fertilizer could be applied in the fall and mid-spring.
